I Love Veronica Mars

I've been reading the analysis of the various characters from Veronica Mars on Wikipedia. Funny how I'd take on such measure for a mere TV series, when I could hardly stay awake analysing all the characters in the texts for malay lit.

Anyhow, I'm trying to join the dots, fill up some gaps, understand some of the terms. Haha! It is such a bummer that there isn't any follow up season after the third one. Though the thing is, I'd be very much willing to watch anything starring Kristen Bell. I just think that she's a superb actress. Though I can see that she's mostly kept under the radar. Coz my frequent visits to thatotherblog.com hardly ever entails any juicy gossips or any form of news about her for that matter.

BUT, there has been one very recently. KB starring in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I'd watch the trailer and interviews on youtube...and KB kinda took on a totally different role, with the movie being somewhat sexual and vulgar. It's really really funny listening to KB spitting vulgarities randomly. Very un-Veronica.

Ok, so that's it for my break. I'm going back to reading more VM stuffies and then watch some of the episodes again for the umpteenth time before I doze off. BYE!

I read from Wiki too, that there's gonna be a second instalment of The Celebrity Apprentice. And I thought that it would be interesting to have KB as one of the celebrities competing in the game.

Another thing being, I found out that the Malaysian TV channels are already airing most of the latest TV programmes from the U.S. Like Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty 2 and The Celebrity Apprentice (while we are stuck at season 6). What the hell is taking Singapore so bloody long man?!

This was yesterday's. Can you believe we actually woke up so early in the morning and made our way to Buona Vista, joining the throngs of crazy morning peak hour crowd. Something I have never done for nearly five months now. Haha! From BV, we headed down to Ah Boon and then to Pasir Panjang (or was it Bukit Panjang?) and then on to Bugis and after which City Hall, where we made our way towards Marina Square. At least I finally get to try the macgriddles that I've been wanting to get my hands on for so long. Hahz.

F1 and Connie Talbot

The F1 bug has really caught on with the people living in the east side. Or rather, the people who DRIVES along the east side. Coz as it is I've lost count of the number of F1-wannabes whizzing through along new upper changi road, usually between 10 pm to a little before 12 midnight and making a hell lot of noise at it. Do you see the ungodly timing those SPEED MASTERS decides to make their "special appearance"?

Apparently Connie Talbot appeared on some interviews in tv and radio here in sg. I tried to watch the one on CNA but I couldn't catch the whole thing clearly. High traffic I think. Tried to look for the podcast from when she had her interview with Class 95 and unfortunately, it's not available. But I manage to get hold of Three Little Birds from Imeem. I really think the song is brilliant. Just crank up the vol on your comp to listen. It totally contradicts my fiery layout. Haha!

Happy Days

I am really excited this week mainly because of some events that has already been planned out to fill up the weekends. There will be the reunion of the ol' classmates on saturday at sentosa and my dad gave me a couple of tickets for a may day carnival at downtown east on sunday, which also includes entry tickets to the theme park. So I'll be heading there with my bestfriend for some thrilling rides and lotsa fun under the hot hot sun. Hah!

On top of that, while I was out with Imma just now, I'd gotten the confirmation that the finances for my degree programme has already been settled. And that's a good news for me. Now I'm left with going down to the office once again to figure out my study plan. If all goes well, I am hoping to start hitting the books by july. Ahhh yes, being a bummer does have its perks but I really think it's time enough to get rid of that phase already.

Imma got her good news too while we were about to play the racing game at the arcade. For she has been shortlisted for an interview with NTU. That only means just a teeny-weeny step more to gain admission into the uni. So, pandai-pandai ah kau buih ye Imma. Wa caya sama lu beb! Lol!

And what the hell. I'm meeting Imma again tomorrow. Haha! We are gonna look for her shades, head over to the bank and hopefully have a major good time at AIR HOCKEY. Yay!

Random

In the last few hours...

I've watched the National Treasure: Book of Secrets. I am still very much into Nicolas Cage ayyy. Though I had a tough time trying to understand the villain's role in the movie.

I had my first try popping a bag of popcorns in the microwave - which didn't turn out so well considering half the content turned black, which eventually "pollute" the entire bag of popcorn, taste-wise. The instruction states 5 mins maximum. I had it turned for slightly above 3 mins. So the next time, I'll just give it a go for three minutes instead.

Also, I managed to flip through Time magazine which features the annual 100 influential people and binge on more junks and had music plugged into my ears thereafter and waiting for a call from the bank to confirm if the cheque for my edu loan is ready.

And now, I am facing the comp, waiting intently for the next episode of GG to be available for download (not until tomorrow actually), contemplating to eat the bag of cheetos and also try to put myslef up for a challenge, that is, to finish up the entire bag of sourprunes.

It sure helps that the weather is so fine today. Fairly windy and gloomy. It's a refreshing change after so many weeks of the tormenting heat and stuffy-ness.

Next up...

I'm gonna try to finish up the CSI-induced novel that I had started on. As it turns out, my short attention span is still very much prevalent in my system.

Clear up the pile of laundry on my bed.

Revival of the trolleyz.

And maybe re-arrange the books on my bookshelf (And get rid of anything that reeks of A-levels at it).

I'd like things to go on in the order stated above but knowing me, I'd probably have music plugged in my ears once again or I'd just end up watching Veronica Mars and subsequently dozing off to lalaland.

For some undesirable news...

THE SOCCER PEOPLE HAVE TO BE SO IRRITATING, HOGGING THE STADIUM FOR TWO CONSECUTIVE JOG-WORTHY EVENINGS.

At which I gotta tell you that the stadium is no longer as interesting as it used to be on a weekday as compared to the start of the year.
