Finally...

...got my hands on Anggun's Elevation album. Just went through three quarter of the songs in the cd. I have to say, the latest album totally shifted away from Anggun's usual sound. It leans more towards the mainstream kinda tunes. But I love how most of the tracks are rather upbeat and have that uplifting feel to it. The best part is, the song - World, is also in the album. If I'm not wrong it's a soundtrack from a french documentary. I'd been hooked to it ever since the day I came across it on youtube. Downside being, since the CD I got is an Indonesian release, some tracks are given as the bahasa Indonesia version only. Sigh. I so wanna get my hands on the full english album man. Not that I don't like her singing in her native language but the thing is, I'd appreciate it better if she does them as different tracks altogether instead of having the same songs but in different languages.

Randomz

Someone's gonna get a heart attack soon. D-day tomorrow baybehhh! Then again, it's just N levels. Haha. So yeahhhh, good luck CACA! Kekekeke.

Managed to get dad to buy a waffle maker from the supermarket last night. Did a test run this morning. I made use of the pancake batter recipe that I've been using for quite some times now. The outcome is not bad, though it would have been better if the waffle maker could yield a much thicker piece of waffle. Probably gonna make a few more later on, have them topped with vanilla ice-cream and chocolate sauce and maple syrup. Yumsss.

I managed to drop by Muzika the other day. Managed to get one of Kerispatih's album. Unfortunately they have yet to stock up on Anggun's Elevation. The latest album is not even in their list yet. Like they only have Luminiscence (which was actually out of stock). So the guy told me to write down the album name on a piece of paper and subsequently told me to call in about a week's time to check for stock and make a reservation. I hope I can get my hands on it before I head for my holiday.

Imma complains that everytime she goes out with me, the only activity we ever engage in is eating. Yes, that and the occasional window shopping (being dry off money most of the time, it's impossible to make actual purchases) and then the usual relak one corner at Starbucks. To be honest, I don't know what else we can actually do whenever we are out. And the thing is, I usually do not eat prior to heading out of the house (coz I woke up late uh). So that usually makes me feel hungry by the time I met up with Imma. Thus, ever so often, the first thing I'd suggest we do is to go makan. Haha.

On an entirely different subject, today's jog session is rather uneventful. The wind blows so strong, it is really hard to not slow down while I am jogging. Coz of that I didn't sweat much today. In fact I felt super cold all throughout my runs. Back home, I bailed out on the bodoh bells again. Argh. It's so hard to have enough self-discipline and it's bad enough that doing arm exercises can get so boring (not to mention, utterly painful too). It's like I cannot really plug in music in my ears coz I would somehow end up losing focus. Need to get back on task man.

The Bare Necessities

I do think that I'm down with a major kambing overdose. Coz we had kenduri yesterday, and my mum ordered tons of bonesteak from haig road. Yep, the one which is bloody red. It's so good, I couldn't seems to stop myself from having more servings. To make it worse we had like an entire periuk of leftovers for today. Altogether, I had like FIVE? Man, that's enough fuel to last me an entire...marathon??? Or like enough to block my heart from funtioning well? Ok no...please. Besides my younger bro totally outdid me, he probably had more than double of whatever I had. Scary much? Yeahh, it better be. This is life-threatening unhealthy. I think I'm gonna have to steer clear from kambings for quite a long while.

The weather's so gloomy today (eh what else is new?). Thankfully it cleared up for a bit at around six in the evening. So, I was able to go out for a jog and further enabling me to let go of the guilt from having too much kambing in my system. The jog made me feel good. Like fiercely intense but made me feel extremely accomplished for the day. Now, please do not over estimate my level of 'fiercely intense'. It's really nothing. Just one of those days when I feel like I'm going "fast". Which is kinda true for today. Apparently some bottled up issues are wreaking havoc in my brain today. That, ladies and gentlemen, is just my call to get my stash of "womanly-protection" ready coz the crimson tide is obviously heading over to my shores already. It's so easy for me to tell. Kekekeke.

Uhhmm...there's something else I wanna talk about. Lemme think...still thinking...STILL thinking...uhmmm...thinking...thinking....OH I GOT IT! You see, I have this habit of looking out of my bedroom windows before I head out for my jog, just to see if there's anyone already at the stadium treading on the tracks. I kept doing this coz there were times when the stadium is out of bounds whenever the S-League is having their match or some training sessions or if there's some sorta events going on at the stadium. The thing is, the stadium do have a schedule of days when it's not available to the public, but I always tend to forget the dates. So I take the easier way out to catch a glimpse for any joggers from my bedroom windows. Ok, that much explained, so lets get on to the next part.

The thing is, everytime I look out at the direction of the stadium, I am, at the same time facing the block next to mine. The side where the master bedroom is to be exact. Are you starting to get my drift? If not, well let me just say that I've got this inkling that the neighbours from one of the units at the next-door block are probably thinking that I'm snooping to look through their master bedroom windows for whatever-they-think-I-wanna-look-at. When I'm not! It's just that, TWICE I saw the guy coming toward his bedroom window when I looked out. His body language was unmistakable, he was probably thinking that I was trying to snoop through his windows. I reiterate, I'd do no such thing. Seriously. Nowadays whenever I looked out at the stadium, I find that the windows to that unit is always shut. And it's been days, I should say. I must have scared them somehow with my non-existant cheekopek-ness. Lol.

Ehh, but there was one time, when I was just a kid, and my mum saw a woman from the same block in one of the units clad in just her undies. And it WAS NOT at the bedroom mind you. She was standing at the living room. Talking or something? Coz I saw her too you see. Like once my mum walked away from the balcony, I just kept looking. Ooohh! And there was this other incident when me and my family plus some uncles and aunts and cousins were having dinner at the wet market near my place. Peacefully enjoying the stuffz we'd ordered. When suddenly, a deranged woman in her forties, maybe, walked in whislt talking so loudly to herself or "someone". All the while, she was clad only in her skin-coloured undies. Freaky.

Is This What You Call Abstract Art?

Like the song from Regina Spektor entitled Fidelity? I know I do. Heard it from Veronica Mars way back but it took me so long to find the title and the singer of the tune. Now I am hooked. And I've yet to fulfill my iWant desires. Coz judging by the economic slump, I'm gonna have to TRY to be a wee bit more thrifty now. It's like they are gonna fire people from jobs so easily now. I'm rather worried. Thankfully, I've another...three years or so before I'd have to join the workforce. Hopefully things would start looking up by then. That I won't end up jobless or something? Hah! Why all these talks mannnn. Bleah. I'm just worried that's all. Logically speaking, I should be financially independent by now. But, but, but...all the BUTs in the world are never gonna help me measure up. Here I am, still where I was about eight years back. Still having that deep-seated desire to own a pink beemer. Yeah, eight years. That's how long I've been lusting for a BMW. Lemme try to recall when was the first time I fell in love with the car ayy. Letsee...I was incredibly awkward back then in sec school. Lack of social interactions and as a result, all those non-living objects became my muse. I could go on, but it requires too much details. So lets just cut to the chase, uhhmmm...I think it was second year in sec school. Back then kids generally raved about mercs. I should know. Coz I myself never heard of beemers since I was young. Thus it came as a surprise to me when I got immediately attracted to da stallion seating at the school carpark near the foyer at the old school premise. Of course I didn't know it was a beemer. I guess first impression is really that important. It was good-looking, that was all I could ever describe it as. My knowledge of cars? Darn superficial, more like I knew nothing. But as time went by, the love sorta grows. God, this is starting to sound so cheesy. Lol. I'd go on on how my love for beemers developed and all that but then again it's just too superficial. Rather meaningless. But the point is, I want the car just as bad as I'd wanted to lose 50kg. Speaking of the latter, I'm only two-fifth out of the horrid dark tunnel. Twenty kilos down, thirty more to go. I'm still stuck in my ten kilos relapse. And it's been four years. Had it not been for the relapse, I would only need to work through just the remaining two-fifth of my goal. And I could have been more than happy to tell the world that I'd lost thirty kilos. That lasted only a couple of years or so, before I got sucked into the whole junkfood land all over again. Woe is this ten kilos relapse. For four freaking years dammit. I don't know how I could still manage to let myself remain so positive. Like there were at some points when I just wanna give up. But I kept telling myself that I've worked way too hard to let sucha small letdown make me admit defeat. I don't want to end up like suhaimi yusof. I swear the guy was like the best role model when it comes to having a vast amount of determination in his weight-losing mission. Making it public definitely adds on to the pressure. Alas, woe is STILL the bloody fugging relapse. And if you have no control over it, then that's it. I think the lesson that should be taught first and foremost to anybody who wanna lose weight (especially when you are severely overweight), should be the part on how to handle relapses. Seriously. Losing weight is fairly easy but when it comes to tackling a relapse, I have to say, it's a horrible nightmare. Doing what you used to do is just not enough. You gotta do more. But when you are caught in a trance of complacency, HOW DO YOU GET OUT OF IT??? I should consider myself lucky. At least I didn't get myself in too deep. But four years is just too long. It should not have taken that long. Really, it shouldn't. I read somewhere that if you are trapped in a relapse, you should work on stabalizing your load. That means, based on my conclusion, that you should make sure it stay at one point, never letting it increase. I think I'm finally able to grasp hold of that. Obviously it's not enough. My entry does not seems to flow seamlessly. I am very aware of that. But I figure you'd bother to understand some points that means much. If not...well, whatever. I'll do a better one next time.

A BOND Like No Other. SPORT IT!

The picture was taken right after we completed our Great Eastern Women's 10km run this year. Trying to complete the run was quite an uphill task. This is especially so since our physical fitness activities have been greatly reduced ever since we graduated from pre-university. So you can imagine how 'rusty' we've all become. The event was pretty exciting considering it does not just attract those who are super-fit. In fact, women of all shapes and sizes took part in it. And at one point I could feel some sort of sisterhood pride amongst all the participants. That is, we are there not exactly to compete against each other but also to push ourselves to reach the finishing line together. Much I would like to gloat about my really "fast" timing that I took to complete the run, it turned out otherwise. Like I said, I'd been a little too 'rusty', so my friends and I ended up walking more than we actually ran. Nevertheless, our lacklustre timing in completing the whole 10km is definitely not gonna put us off from taking part in such running events ever again. In fact, it had actually motivated us to take part in the event again come next year. Hopefully we'll be so much more prepared by then!

I Trust My Heart

Omg, after making my iWant entry last night, I came across yet another bunch of albums that I may wanna get for myself. Wowww, if only money falls from the sky... Anywho, one of the CDs that I got to know of was Bosson's 2007 release. I swear most of the tracks on the CD are freaking awesome. I really thought that it's strange that I never found out that Bosson had two more albums released after One In A Million.

Part of the lyrics of the song which I fell in love with almost immediately - Walking.

I am walking
In the middle of the street of life
I am searching for
A little sign that's telling me left or right
My head's turning
Although my feet are going straight ahead
I keep missing
If the traffic signs are green or red

And I'm just walking
Between the things I should and shouldn't do
And it's confusing me
I find it hard to make a choice or two
But it's my way
It doesn't matter where I should belong
I trust my heart
The only way I know I can't go wrong

The words are just so appropriate especially at this point of my life. When I am still indecisive of what I wanna do with my life. When everything is still pretty much a blur for me. What will I be? What am I gonna do? Most importantly, what do I want? I really should have gotten all these questions answered as I went through my formative years. Unfortunately, what I gained in the number of years to my age, I actually lacked a great deal of wisdom in me. How do I get myself around the bend? I keep asking myself this.

I guess the new year bug has hit me a little too early. The thought of having to come up with new resolutions even when the old ones have never been fulfilled. Then again, maybe I don't exactly need a new year's resolution. I dunno... I'd always wondered that if it's possible that this whole tradition of coming up with resolutions every year are just out of the sake of obligation? As well as a redemption of some sort to make up for all of your shortcomings during the course of the year. I figure it would make you feel a lot better to make losing weight as part of your new year's resolution, especially if you've gained a hefty load this year alone. Whether you pull yourself through to get it over and done with is another story altogether. Right?

Alright man, I'd be better off continuing with these thoughts on some other days just so I won't ruin the celebratory mood. In the meantime, enjoy the chilly weather this holiday. Like catch up on sleep for instance. Hehe. And Selamat Hari Raya Haji!
