Was out on Saturday with Imma to catch the fireworks. I'd like to upload the pics but unfortunately the files are being rather uncooperative. Not only that, the motherload (ie, the video containing most of the fireworks) keep giving an error popup whenever I wanna play it on my comp. Dratz. As for the fireworks? I have to say...abso-damn-loutely spectacular. I totally forgot what it's like to catch a firework display LIVE. The last time I saw an equally brilliant one was during the ndp NE preview whilst I was in p5. And that was about TEN years ago! W-T-F. Haha.
I guess we just got lucky to find the perfect spot at starbucks. Which, by the way, has a newly renovated outdoor area. Like man, I've not been over to One Fullerton in the longest time ever and now the place look so much better than before. So, despite the unfulfilled thosai cravings, initial brush-off with some very irresponsible and disrespectful blueberries and the very constipated waiting period leading up to a TB-induced spurt of excitement from the fireworks... IT WAS WELL WORTH IT.
I'd like to say that I'm going back to the same spot on the nineth. But there's no guarantee ahhb-viously. Unless we step out very early in the morning. Which would still render us a 50/50 chance coz some people would have already set up their "campsite" and throw packets of tissue paper EVERYWHERE as a "mark of ownership". Haa.
In other reports (LOL), my very first attempt to join an online spree was very much shortlived. I was so looking forward to get those two items I've ordered. But due to some complications on the spree organizer's part, the whole thing got cancelled. Now I'm gonna have to wait for yet another one.
Oh, I can't help but notice how cocky-in-print some spree organizers can be despite using various terms of endearment on the comments part. But that speaks much about online sales eh. Somehow you can actually gain the power of authority and that no "customers is always right" sentiment should ever be adhered to. I love that ayy. It beats being a dumb (or at least pretend being dumb) sales promoter at the departmental store and having to listen to the whims and fancies of very unreasonable customers.
Well, I shall go back to sleep now and wake up at around twelve in the afternoon. Good morning!
