For The Lack Of Stories

I CANNOT KEEP MY OWN PROMISES. Haaaa yeahhh. How long has it been since my last entry? You do the math. It's so hard for me to concentrate on one task at a time mann. Everytime I switch on the comp, I have like a million things that I wanna do. But at the end of it all, everything that I'd set my mind to do boils down to nothing. Need to regain self-discipline. Have lost them since like forever.

Letsee what I've been up to ayy. There was the hangout with Nurul and Imma last thursday, firstly to Vivo coz I'd wanted to exchange my tablecloth top to something else (ermm, the tablecloth is still in my possesion though =S). Lunch was, for the first time, at the chicken rice shop. Really good stuffs I hafta say. After that we headed down to our usual stretch. Hung out at macs at Marina Square. And we migrated THREE TIMES from the corner seat, to the one near the entrance and finally to the outdoor area in the evening when the weather was cool enough for us to chillax outside.

Safe to say, we have ditched Starbucks for good, no thanks to terrible service (which was really really strange considering we had constantly parked ourselves at Starbucks for a little more than 2 years and we had no problems at all). 2009 didn't start off very well for us with that coffee joint. And It's been a long while since we last shared a venti caramel frappe. Macs and McCafe are the words for now.

As for last friday, I came up with the most last minute plan for us to go cycling at East Coast Park. Imma was game enough for it, so by mid afternoon we were peddling the tandem bike towards the other end of ECP, the track towards the hawker centre that is. We had two whole hours to kill with the bike. So it started off breezy and laidback but by the time we were on our way back, the strain was finally settling in. It came to a point where we had to push the bike on the uphill part of the track, just cause we're totally wiped. Haha.

It's been quite some times since I last set foot at ECP, the last time was about a month ago when I went there for a jogging session with my dad and also during the CNY break for a family chalet. ECP will always remain as my fave spot, especially during non-peak periods, ie, weekday mornings/afternoons. That was just how it was last friday. Just perfect. Despite the two hours workout, me and imma kinda wasted all the effort by going for a late dinner at Banquet PP. Oh wellsss.

Fast forward to yesterday. It was my first monday without having to go on a long bus ride towards the north side. Had lunch with the other instructors at Madjack Simpang Bedok. They were all discussing religion throughout the meal. I just listened. Only because I've always felt that in order to broach on this subject, one need to be extremely knowledgable. And I'm not too sure if I know enough to actually fix some kinda discussion about anything relating to it. Perhaps it's just me, I'm more of a follower. And I'd feel much better talking about it with someone who is really a specialist in the subject matter.

Anyhoo, I tried the blue mountain burger for the first time. It wasn't all that spectacular. In terms of size, yes. But taste-wise not so. Maybe I'm so used to getting my burgers off the popular fastfood joints, so trying something different for the first time was...well, DIFFERENT. Haa. Maybe I'll try it again someday just to reconfirm the verdict on my tastebuds. Ohh but I recalled trying out a chicken burger from Hanis, and I thought the chicken patty was great. Maybe I can try that out again too. Just to reconfirm...

After a really heavy and enlightening lunch, I took the bus to you-know-where. Lol. Waited for Imma for over an hour at Marina's Macs. I was so bored cause I had nothing with me. Just plugged in some music and doodled random crap on a piece of paper. I can't believe the one day, when I could actually spend my time doing some good reading, I just had nothing on me. But on days when I chuck in a book or reader's digest in my bag, I can never find the time time to read them. Sucha bother. Yes, I was really bored. I couldn't even get myself food coz I was so full from the monstrous burger earlier on. SO YES, I WAS REALLY REALLY BORED. Ha ha ha.

Imma came awhile later. Waited for her to finish her lunch/dinner before we launched our scrabble showdown. Ya see, I was at the supermarket on Saturday with my family, and while I was browsing for a travel scrabble, I saw the cards version. So I bought a pack (okay, my dad paid for them). My attempt at trying out the pack of cards on Sunday with my cousin proved futile coz the niece decided to make out her name and her siblings' using the alphabets. Ok so back to the scrabble showdown with Imma. It was really fun though we excluded the power cards coz I don't understand how to make use of them. Losers had to give an ice-cream treat and we played two rounds till 7:30. Gonna have yet another game on thursday, this time round with ALL the GMs.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is the end of my storytelling for today. God knows how frustrating it is coz my internet explorer shuts down a total of three times while I am in the midst of typying out my story above. Lol. I'm off. And I'm feeling for yet another omelette with cheese sandwich. GB!

Kill Some Time

Waiting patiently for the latest episode of 90210 to download. As it turns out, all my other fave shows are not airing this week. For some, not even until May! Sigh. Ohh, but I found two more telly programmes worth watching. Roommates and Flashpoint. The latter got me really really excited coz one of the main characters is the guy who played Keith Mars (Veronica's dad in Veronica Mars). Point is, I'd watched anything that features any one of the casts from VM. One time I got super excited when I saw Weevil as well as Veronica Mars on Heroes, another time it was Meg Manning on The Mentalist. Hokay, 90210 is at the 75.8% mark. Did you know that 90210 is produced by the same people who did Veronica Mars? I didn't realized it either until I heard snippets of very familiar lines. Hah. Alright man, think I should just head out to the shops to get my toiletries. GB!

A Little Bit Of Fun

Bowled Over

Today has gotta be a field day for cab drivers. Well, at least the two we took from Bedok to Choa Chu Kang and then from CCK to Woodlands. I swear I felt much like an alien going through those places. It looks so out of place. Then again, that is probably how people from the other sides would feel when they come over to east side. Should I be thankful for my job? Coz really, it's bringing me to places I'd never explored before. Letting me see things in a bigger and wider picture etc. Still I do wish for the days when I could just fly off to somewhere.

Anywho, I spent some nights ago googling for a new breed of BMW. I recalled seeing them on the road countless times but I didn't know what model it was. Suffice to say, it exudes an aura of awesome-ness which pretty much had me gaping for more. And there I found it. An X6. It's a cross between the typical sedans and an X3 with a hint of Nissan Murano. The whole lot of pictures of the X6 had me talking to myself infront of the screen. Oohh-ings and ahh-ings in the wee hours of the morning. OMG. I swear I was a total nut. But I'd never seen a car so beautifuuuuullllllll.

Ok scratch that, I'd never seen a BMW so beautiful. It has to be the physique, well-balanced and superior. Proportional amount of curves, muscles and a steadly figure all rolled into one, exhibiting an incredible amount of gung ho-ness and confidence (sure sounds like as though I'm describing my ideal GUY). So my description of the car (and any other cars for that matter) may seems so superficial coz I don't usually get all the fancy stuffs that goes down with the internal organs and such. Whatever it is, I'm hooked. And I already have it as my desktop wallpaper.

Speaking of which my bestfriend just got her driver's license on Saturday. Awesome much ayy. I've not budge even an inch to go for mine. I think I'm just afraid. Like I'd always feel whenever I have to start on something new. Seriously pathetic I know. Maybe if I can get an X6 as a deal-breaker... HAHA! I wish. Such big dreams and such mousey attitude. I'd be better off dreaming for a hot pink CHERRY QQ. Wtf.

Damn, I'd wanted to continue this post for much longer but my comp kept playing punk with me &^&*%^$%^$%^%$^&%^%%*^%^* whatever mannnnnnnnnn. Till next entry!

Revival Attempt

I felt that the old layout wasn't giving me much pull to make any updates here. So I decided to change it once again, to a more vibrant, colourful and uplifting one. Ahhh, it sure does wonders. I do feel like blogging, BUT I really don't know what I am supposed to talk about. Somehow my thoughts are in a jagged mess at this point in time. Not because of anything bad, really. It's just that I've been occupied with too many things and yet I've done absolutely NOTHING. You feel me?

I do think that I've been taking things for granted. Maybe it's the nature of my daily routine. Sure, I've got work and school stuffs to deal with but those does not seem to take up most of my life, believe me. I work part-time AND I study part-time. However, I get FULL-TIME nonsense, i.e entertainment, time for leisure etc etc. It's not the conventional way of living. And I keep thinking that one fine day, I'm gonna suffer from this whole setup coz of my lack of concern to make things more...normal or conventional or more mainstream, how ever you wanna put it.

The freedom and flexibility of time makes a person even lazier than they should ever be. I believe Imma would share this same sentiment. I used to have my room cleaned up every single week. Vacummed, dusted, arranged. These days however, I could actually leave my room in a huge mess for so many weeks, only grudgingly getting up to do some mild clean-ups when my mum decide to have a kenduri at our place on certain months.

Then, there's this blog, I used to update it so frequently back then. Back then, when school was all the way in the west side and despite it sucking out all the energy out of myself, I STILL managed to find the time to make elaborate if not lengthy updates. And how about the little online biz me and Imma set up about a year back? The idea came upon when we were so freaking swamped with exams and whatnot. So logically speaking, now that we are free, we should actually be able to focus more on it right? Unfortunately, the opposite happened. Masya is collecting dust at the corner of my room, and I still have a whole bunch of unwanted stuffs stashed in my wardrobe.

The reading list I'd just put in place on the right does not list down the books that I've read. In fact those are just some of the books which I've bought some time back and have not found the time to read. I think I have a whole bunch more on my bookshelf. Again, I do have the free time to read. Really. But I just can't seems to make myself DO IT. So I'm hoping the reading list would in a way act a a reminder for me to start flipping on those books already. It's been too bloody long. Either that, or I should stop buying books on impulse. Then again, I can never resist buying brand new books. Blame all those book warehouse sales.

So...I figure, the moral of the story is that, having excessive amount of free time would only ruin you. Not good, not good at all. Hah.

P.S: Letsee if I can keep up with making a daily lengthy updates over here from now onwards.

LOL

I thought it's really amusing when this silly thing just fell flat on the floor when I was in the midst of chatting with my friends. And yes, I'd lost my inspiration to blog about anything. Hence, this very nonsense entry. Haha!
