Damn Virus

I had wanted to blog yesterday, with concern to my "cinematic experience" whilst watching Sex and the City on the same day in the evening. Unfortunately, I had to battle the damn Trojans, which not only invaded my comp but also the hard disk on my ipod, using another identity, "Recycler". Or maybe it's just another species of virus altogether.

Yeah I was dumb enough to plug in the the player to the comp despite knowing very well of the presence of those stupid worms. But I wanted to save all my photos! I've no backups of them hokay and I thought I might as well make a copy of the hefty file into the hard disk, just in case trojan totally corrupt my comp. But I just hadta fall asleep while waiting for ALL the pics to be sync-ed inside the ipod. There were just too many and it was taking forever.

I woke up at around six am only to find some funky DJ streaming going on at iTunes. Like who the hell could have clicked on those ayy? Please don't tell me some entertainment-deprived spirits did that. And there was an error pop up, stating no connection to further access the DJ streaming thingy, WHICH I DID NOT CLICKED ON. And then I double checked if everything was fine on my ipod. No files missing. Nothing funky. But when I tried to access the hard disk, that's when all hell broke loose.

Basically, the presence of Recycler in my ipod hard disk made it impossible for me to access the files in them thanks to its autorun function. Meaning that it will just "detonate" should I gain access into the hard disk. So everytime I clicked on the 'G' drive, the anti-virus did a total clampdown. I tried to find other ways to eliminate just the Recycler but there was no way I could get to the file. So I was stuck. And that's when I had to make a major major decision. Which wasn't that easy. Like I've got fifty over GB worth of content in there mannn!

Operation R E S T O R E. Now I am so so so depressed because I lost every single videos on my ipod. YES, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

The Gameplan, Beauty and The Beast, No Reservation, Just Like Heaven, Michael Clayton, National Treasure 1&2, Music and Lyrics, Clueless, The Holiday, Freedom Writers, Home Alone 1&2, Shrek, Brother Bear, Kindergarten Cop, Night At The Museum, The Devil Wears Prada, The Apprentice Season 6, The Celebrity Apprentice, some episodes from Ugly Betty Season 2, Gossip Girl Season 1, a couple of Anggun's music videos, several others which I'm trying to recall all the titles and OF COURSE, MY SUPER PRECIOUS VERONICA MARS SEASON 1- 3.

I lost them all man! I totally lost them!!

I took pains to download the shows, have them converted to the Mp4 format. All the time battling the limited space in my comp because of all these. And now? Poof! I've no backup of them either. Funny thing is, I had them uploaded into my ipod and I had the idea of putting the backups in the very same device, at the hard disk. Very smart ayy? Blahhh.

**I finally had the comprehensive anti-virus thingy up and running coz the one I used previously had already expired (ahhh, now that explains the virus attack right?). I did so many scans in just one day, I've gotten TOTALLY paranoid. My photo file is still very safe. And I'm gonna take my time to dL all three seasons of VM all over again.
