Adventure

Anddddd helloooooo WORLD! Haha!

I am now so addicted to Elvis Presley's Burning Love after watching The Game Plan countless times. Admittedly, I can't seems to get enough of The Rock (hehe...) and super cute Peyton. There's one thing I noticed about The Rock...that whenever he widens his eyes, the eyeballs threatens to jump out of its sockets, like it's partially popped out so much so you can see the round-ness of the eyeballs. Eh no, it doesn't look disgusting at all. Very cartoon-ish is more like it. Coz the whole eye-popping effect reminds me so much of Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story and the 'dad' from American Dad. Lol!

Woke up pretty early today to head over for yet another job interview with Imah. Seriously, we should have kept track of all our interviews in a notebook or something. Been going for so many of them, and it's a miracle (cue for sarcasm) that we barely land ourselves with any proper job. Tsk tsk tsk.

Anyhow, we headed for the place that was supposedly near the Singapore River without even realising that we are headed for the stretch of road which actually leads up to Chinatown, and which is fairly near to those rows of shophouses where we did our (horrible) telemarketing stint. Yikes. Thankfully the 'other side' of Chinatown seems more bearable as compared to the 'dark side' which did nothing but suffocate the air out of us with its very "foreign dimension". Bleah.

Ok, so the directions given to Imah on how to head over to the venue for our latest interview seems rather simplistic. I guess being the most "suaku" people there, we did eventually got lost in the heart of Cross Street, South Bridge Road and whatever road that totally left us clueless as to where our actual interview venue is.

So we got lost for nearly an hour. Weaving through the row of shophouses, trying to figure out where the heck is number 54 when we are wayy off at two-hundred-something as well as trying to find the damn river. And for the first time ever I made my entry into China Square, if that's what the place is called. It's pretty quiet while we are out and about at that place as it was still early in the morning. I gotta say that the place is more mainstream and they do have some mainstream business outlets over the area which includes Planet Fitness.

Even then we couldn't find the place we're looking for not until about an hour later. Turns out that the bus stop is only two shophouses away from 54, and the best thing is, the shophouse number we're supposed to be looking out for is 57. So we got it all mixed up. Wokay, so that was quite a journey.

Shall not get into details about the interview coz it's really the most boring part of our adventure for today. Ha ha ha.

Our next part of adventure comprises of us making a pitstop for some picturesque moment with the camm at the Singapore River. Yes, the damn river was very near the interview venue. And then it was out and about toward Raffles Place. That awe-inspiring-business-suits-clad-people environment.

AND WE GOT LOST AGAIN.

We had wanted to walk from the Singapore River to City Hall, thinking that we can cut through Raffles Place. Turns out the river is somewhat a middle man and that City Hall and Raffles Place are actually on either side of the river. We actually went towards Raffles Place and walked along the sidewalk only to realize that we've made one big round only to end up at the exact same point we're at initially. Whahahaha!

Oh, before we supposedly made our way to City Hall from Raffles Place, Imah posed for a picture near ABN AMRO. Ahhh, those times. LOL! To Hidayah, I so did not spot any PDV-ians there lah. Kau sorang je berani PDV kat Raffles Place ye. Kekeke.

After being lost for a while we made it through to the other side of the river by navigating our way using the signboards at the the MRT station. We had to walk a lot hokay. And Imah was begging to find a place to sit coz she was wearing heels and it was tiring. Like obviously uh. I was wearing those slippers and I could feel the strain on my legs, what more if you are wearing heels kan.

And now I realize that I'm doing a bloody story-telling. What the hell laarr. I might as well stop here before my entry becomes super long. Not like I'm not used to making essays over here but enough is enough eh. Haha.

To sign off, I'd like everyone to get your ears stuck to Burning Love by Elvis Presley. It's a fun, upbeat and superbly brilliant tune.

OMG, I can't really sign off...I've yet to talk about my first trip to Terminal 3 with my cousin after the whole adventure with Imah. Yes all that in ONE DAY. God knows how my legs are aching now. Aargh! Ok ok, I'll post pictures for the Terminal 3 visit.
