Went out with Nurul yesterday coz she need to look for birthday gifts for her cousin's sweet sixteen. We stopped over first to meet up with Imah at her work place before the three of us set off for a late lunch. The stuffz that Imah's selling is ridiculously pricey mannn, and they are all bloody plastics. Bought a flexi red hairband though, the cheapest among the lot of accessories at A-MAN-DAHHH. And the cashier has this supremely annoying look on her face, typical hardcore crabby nyonya. Selamat arhh kau Imah. Lol! Lunched at Banquet and there's this apek who sniggered at Imah as he was passing our table. And that girl arhhh, bley senyum balik seyyy. Super siaos. Whahahaha!
After the fulfilling meal, me and Nurul headed for Girls at Raffles City. There are like tons of girly stuffz there, and most of them are super cheap. I'd get my girly little cousins some of those for their birthday if I'd start earning money for myself. Haaa. And then we are off to search for my tennis racket grips. Unable to locate Royal Sporting House at Raffles City, we headed over to the outlet at Marina Square. Bought a three-piece pack comprising of brightly coloured grips. And it's Babolat. When my two rackets are Wilson and Prince. Sucha motely crew don't you think? Heh.
Then we went in and out of shops browsing for handbags and shoes. There aren't that many great bargains out there. After which I told nurul that I wanna head over to Carrefour only to change my mind when we were almost there. So we walked the whole way for nothing ayyyy. Me and my fickle-mindedness. Haha! Ooohh, I don't know what's wrong with Nurul but it's like the whole way we were walking, she kept bumping against me. And the highlight of the day has gotta be a certain something she told me. She said that she had chanced upon so many malay guys with chinese girlfriends. And the next thing she said was we should "carik boyfriend LELAKI." When it was supposed to be boyfriend cina. Whahahaha! Like who in the right mind would wanna look for a BOYfriend perempuan kannnnn. Kekekeke.
Anyhow, despite having gotten my tennis rackets prepared with thenew grips, it was just so UNFORTUNATE that I couldn't get us the court at our preferred timeslots. So tennis was cancelled and it did made me feel frustrated. Damn. I was THAT close to hitting some balls at KTC this morning. And I miss tennis sooo much. Bleah.
So I woke up early today to go for a morning jog at the stadium instead. Could it really be just me or is it much more easier to run ealry in the morning? I could literally breeze through the first three rounds without dragging my feet much. And the morning crowd at the stadium comprises of a lot of old people. I got easily amused looking at them doing their aerobic thingy workout to some dangdut-infused tune at the background. The morning air is somewhat more motivating as compared to late evenings. I'm probably gonna keep going for my jogging sessions on early mornings instead.
On a HAPPY HAPPY note, I FINALLY MADE IT TO ROCK NUMBER ONE! Though I was practically dragging myself all the way there coz I was pretty spooked when I had to go through the underpass at Bayshore and then as I was going down the stairs towards the first carpark, there were small, tiny black thingy jumping around on the pavement. Either those are tadpoles or baby frogs, I don't know. YUCKS. And then I must have not fully recovered from the jog I had the evening before, could actually feel the strain in my thighs and knees that I could only afford to jog up till Marine Cove, before walking the rest of the distance to rock number one. When I finally reached that rock, I kinda held back. Whirling flashbacks. Instead of sitting on it like I used to, I sat on one of the benches nearby instead. Dunno ayy, maybe the next trip there, I'll be able to make myself get on the rock like those good ol' days.
